Back at that time, I was nervous, excited, hopeful, worried… I was just starting college, and countless doors to the mystical treasure known as the “rose-colored campus life” lay open before me. And the one I chose was:
The other name, obviously, is
Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae o Boku Tachi wa Mada Shiranai
Which translates to “We Still do not Know the Name of the Flower we Saw that Day” which we then shorten to “Ano Hana” which translates to “dat flower.” Here’s a graph illustrating how little sense this makes:
Hey guys, it’s me again with this week’s anime. Last night we watched Ookami-san to Shichinin no Nakamatachi, Kore ha Zombie Desu ka?, and Golgo 13. It wasn’t a bad night, going from some entertaining moe-cancer comedy to what Gene called MANIME, a refreshing change of pace in the middle of all of the other shows we’ve been watching.
I’m feeling kind of lazy tonight, so expect this post to be short unless I end up discovering I had more to complain about than I thought I did…
That’s enough intro, I think. If you were there, feel free to read on. Or don’t and just comment with your own thoughts–that’s cool, too!
Hey guys, sorry that one of these is a week late. I imagine there aren’t many who faithfully read the blog, so I just sort of got lazy and waited. And waited.
Now it’s coming up, though, just in time for the 4/20 post, too. This post will probably be a bit longer than my other ones just because of the greater volume of anime, but I’ll try to shorten my comments on each one. That way I can invite some of yours’.
Anyway, here we go.
The Colorado School of Mines Dance Dance Revolution tournament, hosted by the Anime Club, was yesterday. Unfortunately, we were hidden away in Ballroom E, but we still had a good turnout I think: 8 people in the Heavy division and 7 people in Light. Not everything went as originally planned. The song list went from DDR Supernova 2 from the PS2 to all DDR songs to DDR and ITG to almost anything (Gee and World Is Mine heh). Also, the Heavy tournament was changed to double elimination. Still, I think (hope) everyone had a good time. Results after the break…
Hiya, guys. I hope you enjoyed last night as much as I did. It’s almost like Gene planned it or something. In order to better help us recover from blacklisted anime night, we showed a bunch of good stuff tonight. It worked out beautifully. From the end of Ore Imo to Time of Eve, it was really something.
So, yeah, if you get the impression that I liked everything we showed last night, it’s because I did. Expect nothing but lavish praise in this week’s post. I thought last night was great, and if you didn’t (or only showed up for the pizza) you’re probably a terrorist.
Moving on, I’ll talk more about how awesome last night was.
So, the anime club had a carnival booth today. It was meant to advertise the DDR Tournament this Friday, but I’m not sure how well we did in that respect… But let me tell you, we ran a good booth. Continue on to see just how good of a booth we ran. 😉
