Hey guys. Long time no rant. I’ve been putting this off more and more, as you can probably see. I don’t have a convenient pocket in my schedule to make these posts like I did last year, so I’ve mostly just been doing homework and trying to figure out what my new desktop can do, which isn’t much.

But it can make these posts, so I guess I should. This time I’ll be going over both weeks. As a reminder, the shows we watched were: Hidan no Aria, Ano Hana, Legend of the Legendary Heroes, No. 6, Kami-sama Dolls, and Kami-sama no Memo-cho. I’ll probably make each ‘review’ a bit shorter than normal because I should be doing maths instead.

Since I’m obviously getting reluctant to do these posts, does someone maybe want to take over? It’s not a hard job, I promise, though it doesn’t pay nearly enough. Alternatively, maybe I’ll just switch to commenting on Steve’s previews, and we can just do that.

Anyway, here goes.

Hey, everyone! It’s time for another semester at the happiest place on earth, the Colorado School of Mines. For the new Freshman types that don’t know me, I’m Grant Walker, a Sophomore in Computer Science. I’m also not too bright, but you’ll figure that out as we go. Anyway, since last year, I’ve typically been posting my opinion on the anime we see each night, because everyone cares about my opinion.

It also gives you the chance to express your own thoughts in the convenient comment field below. Please feel free to do so.

Hey guys. I know most of us don’t tend to throw money at our favorite directors, but my better half has informed me that Amazon is having a pretty huge sale on anime right now. Some of the selection is actually pretty tempting. If you feel like paying for anime at the cost of putting up with jagged, oversize subtitles (not to mention the, you know, ACTUAL cost), then you might be interested.

So Anime Expo has been over for almost a month now. The reason it took me so long is I only just got back from California a few days ago, and I was busy pretty much the entire time I was there. However, now that I’ve settled back down at home and completed Catherine, I think it’s about time I talked about what went down at the expo.

Hey guys, it’s me again with this week’s anime. Last night we watched Ookami-san to Shichinin no Nakamatachi, Kore ha Zombie Desu ka?, and Golgo 13. It wasn’t a bad night, going from some entertaining moe-cancer comedy to what Gene called MANIME, a refreshing change of pace in the middle of all of the other shows we’ve been watching.

I’m feeling kind of lazy tonight, so expect this post to be short unless I end up discovering I had more to complain about than I thought I did…

That’s enough intro, I think. If you were there, feel free to read on. Or don’t and just comment with your own thoughts–that’s cool, too!

Hey guys, sorry that one of these is a week late. I imagine there aren’t many who faithfully read the blog, so I just sort of got lazy and waited. And waited.

Now it’s coming up, though, just in time for the 4/20 post, too. This post will probably be a bit longer than my other ones just because of the greater volume of anime, but I’ll try to shorten my comments on each one. That way I can invite some of yours’.

Anyway, here we go.

Hiya, guys. I hope you enjoyed last night as much as I did. It’s almost like Gene planned it or something. In order to better help us recover from blacklisted anime night, we showed a bunch of good stuff tonight. It worked out beautifully. From the end of Ore Imo to Time of Eve, it was really something.

'I wonder if you can watch anime on these things.'

So, yeah, if you get the impression that I liked everything we showed last night, it’s because I did. Expect nothing but lavish praise in this week’s post. I thought last night was great, and if you didn’t (or only showed up for the pizza) you’re probably a terrorist.

Moving on, I’ll talk more about how awesome last night was.

Finally, at long last, the true bad anime night has arrived. And what a groan-inducing night it was. This normally wouldn’t be a good thing, but we would expect nothing more from blacklisted anime night.

What this night's all about.

Boy, do I love bad anime.

Okay, no more messing around. We’re moving right on to my opinion.

Hey, everyone. Last night went pretty damn well, I think. The movie was long, and felt long, but things were smooth when the computer wasn’t freaking out at some of the more taxing scenes.

Anyways, I’m sure it doesn’t beg explaining why this post is called Majou Shoujou night. There were so many damn magical girls, it was awesome. If you like magical girls, I mean. And I guess I don’t hate them. It seems like magical girls have been pretty popular among the anime club recently.

At least, these ones have been.

Actually, seeing Nanoha really makes me want OreImo Madoka to hurry up and stop being delayed. I know Chris had a theory that they’re altering the story to include less earthquakes and flooding, but my theory is the opposite. They like depressing people in Madoka, so if anything they’d want to add earthquakes and flooding, right? Right? Then people could, um, relate.

Anyway, I guess we didn’t show Madoka. We showed Meruru and Nanoha, so I guess I’ll get on with that.

BOOK NIGHT. Cuz Kirino writes a novel and Literature Girl eats them. It’s a great circle of life we live in; I’m sure Literature Girl (what the heck was her name again, anyway?) would have lots of fun eating Kirino’s siscon book. How would she describe the taste? The texture? I’m curious about these sorts of things.

I guess we’ll never know. And even then, we might not really care…

See, the only reason we care about Literature Girl is she goes to the same school as Junichi and company.

Anyways, it wasn’t a bad night, even though I missed 7 and 8 of OreImo (being busy at Gene’s brother’s wedding, see), but I managed to see them at Gene’s place later last night, so I’m qualified to make the post after all.

Here we go, then.
