I hope you’ll seriously consider this one:

OP to Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro
Double post lol
Anyway, this one’s short, just popping in to say I’ve figured out the video editing process and I’ll be uploading videos of my Rock Band customs to YouTube. Here’s a few to get started:
If anyone’s got requests, put them in the comments or on the videos, and I’ll consider it.

It might not be an exciting enough song to be worth charting, but I definitely would like to play the OP to Tatami Galaxy.
Or any of the music in FLCL.

Aww, I wanted to hear you singing.
Anyway, I want

Northern Cross from Macross Frontier.
And I randomly found this while trying to look for God Knows Endoh Masaaki version.

Endoh Masaaki makes everything better.
Shit, I have so many. But you said if anyone’s got requests, put them here.
I am not really expecting much tho.

へえええぇぇぇぇぇぇぇ?
My first comment is awaiting moderation. Maybe I had to many links. And that makes my second comment look kinda weird.
By the way, I can write on this blog, but not approve comments? Oh, man, I feel so sad and left out.
Chris · January 23, 2012 at 9:38 pm
Writers can only approve comments made on their own posts (the same way we can only view our own drafts). Only Gene has full access to everything.
Anyway, I got about what I expected from you, lol (and Gene and Grant). I’ll probably finish up videos of what I already have first, but I’ll throw them on the to-do list.

I may be predictable… but I don’t withdraw the requests!
I bet you could find more exciting drum/guitar songs, though. Maybe I should do the same.
Anyway, I’m kind of curious to see the Demetori video. That drum chart was kind of painful and embarrassed me pretty badly–hopefully since I’m home this weekend I can get some practice in.
Chris · January 28, 2012 at 11:16 am
Eh, I’m not really that worried about how “interesting” the song is to play. Hard songs are fun, but I’ll chart a song just because it’s good, too. I’m still working on Railgun, just need to get a half-decent run on drums (and vocals, but that shouldn’t take more than a couple tries). The Demetori chart is going to take forever. The drums have a really awkward rhythm, and I keep missing the bass hit that goes in the middle of the red-yellow mess.
If you want, I can give you the charts themselves. There’s no specialized equipment you need to put them on the 360, just some free software and a USB drive that has a 360-formatted partition (and you need to uninstall the latest RB3 patch). Let me know if you’re ever interested, and I’ll tell you how.
As a final general comment, I won’t be spamming the blog with new posts every time I release new videos, so I’ll just drop comments here for announcements. If anyone’s interested in watching future videos, check back here or just subscribe to the channel.

I actually would love to get the charts off you. Is there any kind of USB drive that would be better for the job than another, or would any drive with a decent amount of space work? I don’t actually have a USB drive, but I can get one. I definitely wouldn’t mind having the charts, so…
Anyway, still looking forward to the Demetori video, haha.
Chris · January 28, 2012 at 4:12 pm
Any USB drive will work, you just need to format a chunk of it for 360 use (which you can do on the 360 itself). Songs take up anywhere from 6 to 10 MB a piece, so you don’t need a huge partition. Once you’ve done that, copy over the Song Cache file from Rock Band 3 over to the USB drive so it makes the folder, and I can copy over the songs with a program called Modio. Then just copy them to your hard drive and you should be good, as long as you don’t have the latest RB3 patch (which unfortunately currently causes custom content to crash).
While we’re at it, I can show you how the rest of the charting process works, so you can make your own if you’d like. It’s actually not that complicated.
Grant Walker · January 28, 2012 at 10:40 pm
Great. Guess I’m getting a USB drive.
But I don’t know if I actually have the musical ear necessary for accurate charting, but I guess I wouldn’t mind a crash course one weekend.

Great. Guess I’m getting a USB drive.
But I don’t know if I actually have the musical ear necessary for accurate charting, but I guess I wouldn’t mind a crash course one weekend.
